Senior Electronic Design Engineer (CLoSED/ FIllED)

Location:  Hybrid / Harpenden, Hertfordshire and WFH

Salary: £50,000- £60,000 + Bonus

Hours:  40 hr per week.  Hours are flexible within office hours.  

We have a great opportunity for an Electronic Design Engineer to join a growing design consultancy where you will play an integral part in the business utilising your electronics design experience.   You will join a small and focused team, working together to develop exciting new products for a wide range of applications including medical devices, wearables and the Internet of Things.  

The Position:

  •  Work from customer requirements to define and develop new products

  • Collaborate in a team environment to deliver innovative solutions

  • Design custom electronic circuit boards

  • Board bring-up, verification and test

  • Liaise with customers to assist with integration, commissioning and problem resolution

This position involves occasional client meetings and writing technical reports, so a professional level of written and spoken communication is required

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Electronics Design Engineer to gain exposure to a variety of industries and projects and make a real difference in a hands-on design role.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years of electronics design experience in the industry

  • Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Board design including schematic capture and PCB layout

  • Good knowledge of analogue and digital design including architecture, component selection, PCB design, design for manufacture and regulatory compliance

  • Experience designing with microprocessors/microcontrollers, memory devices, programmable logic, power supplies, wireless communications

Advantageous:

  • Experience with WIFI, Bluetooth, Zigbee

  • Experience with Altium Designer

  • C / C++ / Python

  • Embedded software development

  • Prior work in a consultancy or R&D position

EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER (CLOSED)

We have an excellent opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a young and growing design consultancy where you will play an integral part in the business utilising your embedded software experience.  You will join a focused team, working together to develop exciting new electronic products for a wide range of applications including medical devices, wearables and the Internet of Things.  As a small design consultancy, your experience and expertise will be valued and you will contribute significantly to our projects, while having the support of other knowledgeable engineers. You may be required to supervise the work of more junior engineers or interns and meet with clients.
