The RIOT board connects directly to your device using standard interfaces such as serial, digital, or analogue. Once powered, it reads your data and securely sends it to the cloud, where it is available on your dashboard.

An off-the-shelf solution for your IoT requirements. All boards include Bluetooth, memory and data logging. Choose from either Wifi or Ethernet for your IoT connection.

Connect to your existing Device

To retrofit the board to a device already in the field, connect the power and use standard interfaces (serial, digital, or analogue); no firmware development or embedded engineering required.

Or use a part of your new design

Simply integrate into your new design. During assembly, connect the power and serial ports, or the digital and analogue I/O ports. Replaces the need to design and maintain your own IoT system.

  • The RIOT board is small, the size and shape of a credit card. It is designed to fit in many industrial and larger products. Whether it will fit will depend on your exact design and space. Send us an e-mail, and we can help.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • Our no-code, no-electronics approach. Other hardware platforms still require custom code and hardware to provide IoT connectivity to your design. RIOT doesn't’.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on the number of units you require. You buy the boards and then choose a contract for the Dashboard and backend based on your needs. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.

  • Currently, the RIOT board only communicates with the Ripcord Backend. However, you can use our API’s to create your own custom dashboard, logic or other applications. We also offer this customisation as a service.

  • Yes, we will work with you to trial the board; however, we currently only accept volume orders and cannot sell you just a few boards.

  • The RIOT board is designed to comply with the EMC and RED directives. Since it is not an end product, it should be included as part of your device testing.

  • First, it has to physically fit in your device. It would not be suitable for small consumer devices. Second, it needs to be powered from your device, so it is best suited to mains power or large battery-powered devices. Third, you need a WIFI or Ethernet connection. (Cellular coming soon).

  • Yes, the full tech stack is European. All design, assembly, support services, servers, and cloud solutions are provided from the UK and Europe.
